Painterly builds upon a strong family tradition of purebred dog husbandry and showmanship. We are passionate AKC breeder owner handlers. From our grandparent's Walker Foxhounds in the1920s-1950s to a mentorship in Rough Collies from the 1990s-2020s, and our personal focus and passion for the preservation of our beloved Toy Manchesters.
A multi-generational dedication to the sport and husbandry of purebred dogs, purposefully bred for conformation, temperament and drive.
We are AKC Owner Handlers of Toy Manchester Terriers from extensively health tested English and top winning American lines.
In working to preserve any breed, third party vetting and health testing are hugely important. For this reason, we show our dogs in conformation and performance events in addition to ensuring all breeding prospects are cleared for hips, patellas and by the OFA's breed specific CHIC program.
Our Toy Manchesters excel in the show ring, FastCAT, and Barn Hunt. They have also earned several titles in Trick Dog, Home Manners, Temperament, etc.
We are building and vetting a lovely foundation, while looking toward a legacy of structurally and mentally sound Toy Manchesters, as dedicated breeder-owner-handlers.
